Zhao Sheng Law Firm is pleased to announce the election of Wendy Chen of corporate practice and Xi Liao of anti-trust and foreign investment practice as new partners, effective 1 May 2021.

Wendy Chen, who is qualified in PRC and New York State, is based in the firm’s Shanghai office. Her practice focuses on M&A and foreign direct investment with specialisation in the technology sector. Wendy has represented Chinese companies on cross-border M&A transactions and has extensive experience in assisting multinational companies on their investments into China including in the establishment of foreign invested enterprises.
Xi Liao, who is also qualified in PRC and New York State, is based in the firm’s Beijing office. Xi has represented a number of multinational and Chinese companies and investment funds on various aspects of competition law including handing merger filings, responding to investigations, devising compliance programmes and providing behavioural counselling. Xi has extensive experience in multiple sectors including healthcare, natural resources & energy, technology, transport & infrastructure, chemicals and FMCG.
