Zhao Sheng Law Firm opens Beijing branch

23 May 2019

Zhao Sheng Law Firm is pleased to have received official approval, from the Beijing Bureau of Justice, to establish a branch in Beijing, effective 8 May 2019. The opening of a second office marks a further development for Zhao Sheng, following the firm’s decision to form a Shanghai free trade zone joint operation with international law firm Linklaters, in April 2018.

This new branch enables Zhao Sheng to offer a full range of PRC law services from Beijing to meet the demands of the firm’s strong client base in China’s capital. This strategic location will also afford Zhao Sheng closer proximity to key commercial regulators, with the opportunity to further strengthen relationships and gain unique insight into the regulatory landscape.

Aligned with Zhao Sheng’s plans for continued development, the firm’s expansion into Beijing will provide the opportunity to establish new practice areas, as well as strengthen existing ones, with an initial focus on Competition. Zhao Sheng’s Shanghai office has already established the firm as a strong brand in the China market, offering Corporate M&A, Financial Regulation, Competition and Dispute Resolution advice.

Zhao Sheng Managing Partner, Eric Liu, commented: “We are very excited to be opening this new Beijing branch of Zhao Sheng, showcasing the firm’s continued growth in China. Expanding our presence into Beijing, further demonstrates our commitment to delivering best in class service to our clients in the China market.”

Zhao Sheng law firm has advised on a number of landmark transactions for both international and local clients, such as COSCO, UBS, China Development Bank and China Merchants Group, as part of their Shanghai Free Trade Zone joint operation, Linklaters Zhao Sheng.
